This is just a simple section of things I read and watch.
This top section is a group of special stuff though.
It is the stuff that made me open my eyes to different things.
In many ways, I do not know how I would see the world if these pieces or art had not come across my eyes.
Stuff that opened my eyes, and why they mattered ...
The Bible, Book - I didn't grasp this book until not so long ago. It is misquoted and mutilated by so many. The baseline of the story though is the magic of it is so old, and has the possibility of reaching everyone in some way.
The Art of War by Sun Tzu, Book- Respect everyone. Never underestimate anyone or any situation. A mother trying to protect her child can be more deadly then 5 trained warriors. Look at the reason people do things and try to understand there actions ... then smite them!
Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors, Book - People have different likes. Just because you and I don't see eye to eye on this topic doesn't mean we can't get along. Also the past only helps to form us, but it isn't who or what we are. The best part, I haven't even read this book!
On a Pale Skin Horse, Book - Evil happens, it might not make since but it is a needed thing. Who are we to judge? We can't see the end all outcome and we need to realize that.
The 21 Lessons of Merlin, Book - There are other beliefs out there, they might not be right for you, but that doesn't' mean that they are wrong either. People need to find there own paths, and be ready for them to not go with the norm.
The Phantom Toll Booth, Book - It's hard to explain, this book helped me to realize that not everything is what it seems and that not everyone sees things the same way.
Leo the Late Bloomer, Book - This book showed me it's OK when you look around and you realize you just ain't catching it as quick as everyone else. We all have things we ain't good at, this just helped me realize it, and that it was OK.
The Boy Scout Manuel, Book - Surprisingly enough, this book has shown me more then I can give it credit for. It has ended up helping me from everything from keeping me warm in a desert foxhole, to finding my way home at night.
The Book of Nod, Book - Yes, it is a strange interpretation of the story of Cain and Abel, but the point I took for it was to try and look at things from a different light. Not everything you see and hear is true. You might need to figure it out yourself.
Exodus, by R.A Salvatore, Book - This book started me down a long road forcing me to learn to love fantasy, and open my imagination.
Event Horizon, Movie - True Evil does exists ... and I fear it!
The Harry Potter Series, Book's/Movie's - There is hope for the next generation. They have broken away from TV and games and found a pastime to love and enjoy that helps their minds and excites them once again!
